Julie Shaw (The Whore) is thrilled to be a part of another Spinning Tree production!   She has performed in many theatres across Kansas City including Quality Hill Playhouse, Coterie Theatre, Musical Theater Heritage, American Heartland Theatre, Chestnut Fine Arts Center and Unicorn Theatre.  Her favorite roles include Hucklebee in The Fantasticks (with Spinning Tree), The Chaperone in The Drowsy Chaperone and Ms. Pennywise in Urinetown.  Last spring Julie reprised her roles in the original musical Lucky Duck, performing at the New Victory Theatre on Broadway in NYC.  As always, much love to her patient and supportive family, Stuart, Jack and Caroline.

Jacob Aaron Cullum (The Soldier) is thrilled to be a part of this KC premiere…and he couldn’t have asked for a more awesome cast and creative team to do it with! Shelby Floyd (The Nurse) is an Overland Park native now living in KC. She grew up doing as much community theater as possible while attending Blue Valley North High School and Johnson County Community College. Shelby is so happy to be a part of the KC theater scene where you may have recently spotted her as Celeste in Sunday in the Park with George (Musical Theater Heritage) or Ilse in Spring Awakening (Coterie Theatre). Other shows include Nuncrackers with American Heartland Theatre, Sweeney Todd with MTH, Seussical”with Coterie Theatre, and In Trousers with Egads Theatre Company. Shelby is working with Spinning Tree Theater for the first time and is both excited and nervous to step out of her comfort zone to portray The Nurse! Thanks to an amazing staff and inspiring cast. Steven Eubank (The College Boy) is giddy to be making his Spinning Tree debut!  Steven graduated from Missouri State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance…a while ago. Over the last decade, the theatres of Crown Center have become a home-away-from-home for Steven. He has appeared in Gypsy and The Pajama Game (at Off Center Theatre with Musical Theater Heritage), Spring Awakening, Shrek The Musical, Seussical (at Coterie); he has directed/choreographed The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Bingo: The “Winning” Musical and Life Could Be a Dream (at American Heartland Theatre); and he is the Artistic Director for Egads Theatre Company (which is a fellow resident of Off Center).  Come see the next Egads production: the 40th Anniversary of The Rocky Horror Show opening at OCT June 2013!  “Off campus,” Steven recently choreographed Carousel for The Living Room/KC Rep.  Much love to Mom and Dad!

Stefanie Wienecke (The Young Wife) is so thankful for the chance to work with Spinning Tree Theatre! She attended school in Nashville, TN where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Songwriting. Her favorite roles include: Leanne (Piece of My Heart), Woman 2 (Songs For a New World), Marmie (Little Women), and Elmire (Tartuffe). She has recently been seen as Caroline Bingley (Pride and Prejudice) at MET, and Lady Larken (Once Upon A Mattress) at Coterie Theatre. Stefanie also had the opportunity to compose original music for She & Her’s production of A Feminine Ending running through May 2013. She would like to thank her family for never quitting on her, always pushing her forward, and supporting her in following these unpredictable dreams.

Jerry Jay Cranford (The Husband) appeared on Broadway and in the national tour of Les Miserables, starred in tours of Singing in the Rain and Anything Goes and was the featured dancer with the European tour of Evita. He has performed at New Theatre (Game’s Afoot, Hairspray, Joseph), KC Rep (Cabaret, A Christmas Carol), Unicorn (La Cage, Right Next to Me), American Heartland (39 Steps, I Love You Because), Starlight (Anything Goes, The Producers, Genie in Aladdin), Lyric Opera (Barber of Seville, Turandot) and MTH (Berstein’s Broadway, Big River). He spent four years teaching and performing for Disneyland Resort, CA. This summer he will perform in Shrek and Les Miserables at the MUNY then to Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma to play the Duke in Big River before joining Kansas State University’s theatre faculty. Thanks to all at Spinning Tree for bringing this great piece to Kansas City and for allowing me to be a part of it.

Tyler Eisenreich (The Young Thing) is making his debut with Spinning Tree Theatre. Local credits include Carousel (Living Room Theatre presented by KC Rep), Spring Awakening, Shrek the Musical, Once Upon a Mattress (Coterie Theater). Upcoming: The Rocky Horror Show (Egads! Theatre Company). Tyler is a Blue Springs High School graduate. He won the Blue Star Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role 2012 as Jimmy Smith in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and was a top-5 competitor at the National High School Musical Theatre “Jimmy” Awards in NYC. The competition was filmed for a 3-part reality series on PBS, “Broadway or Bust.” In the fall, Tyler joins the University of Oklahoma class of 2017.

Seth Jones (The Writer) is thrilled to be joining Spinning Tree Theatre once again after playing Matt in The Fantasticks last year! When he’s not performing, he works as a visual artist and barista in Kansas City. He was recently seen as The Soldier in MTH’s Sunday in the Park with George. In 2011, Seth was a top three Jimmy Award finalist at The Minskoff Theatre in NYC. “Thanks to family, friends, and my Abba for his spirit and guidance.” You can see more of Seth’s artwork at sethmjonesart.com

Lena Andrews (The Actress) is thrilled to be making her Spinning Tree Theatre debut! Locally, Lena has been seen performing with Musical Theater Heritage, most recently in Sunday In the Park With George (Yvonne, Naomi). Also for MTH:  1776, Evita, Bernstein’s Broadway. Other KC credits:  The Lyric Opera (L’Italiana in Algeri); Chestnut Fine Arts Center (Godspell) and Theatre for Young America. Much love to her voice/drama students, friends and family! Charles Fugate (The Senator) is delighted to be back with Spinning Tree after his recent voyage in Shipwrecked! Favorite other recent performances: A Christmas Carol (Charles Dickens, Nephew Fred) and Cabaret (Ernst Ludwig) at KC Rep; Carousel (Living Room Theatre & KC Rep); Next Fall (Adam) at Unicorn; Man of La Mancha (Quixote) & South Pacific (Emile) at Great Plains Theater; Kander & Ebb’s Kiss of the Spiderwoman (Molina) at MET; The Music Man (Charlie Cowell) and Narnia (Tumnus) at Starlight; Our Town (Doc Gibbs) and Geppetto & Son (Geppetto) at Coterie; Musical of Musicals (Jitter) at Quality Hill Playhouse. Charles has also performed at American Heartland, H.O.A. Shakespeare Fest, New Theatre, Late Night Theater, and Theater for Young America, and has sung with KC Lyric Opera, KC Chorale, and KC Chamber Orchestra.
