Eboni Fondren PIC

Eboni Fondren

is originally from Chicago and has called Kansas City home since 2000. In 2001 under renowned Hammond B-3 organist Everette DeVan, she honed her talents and rose to become one of KC’s jazz darlings. Several years later and with a CD under her belt, Fondren’s name has become a staple in venues like The Blue Room, The Phoenix, Green Lady Lounge and Kill Devil Club. In 2012 she sang as guest soloist with Salina Symphony on their Salute to the Armed Forces concert. Theatre:  Bud, Not Buddy (Coterie), Little Shop of Horrors and A Christmas Carol (KC Rep), Hairspray (New Theatre).

Jennie Greenberry PIC Jennie Greenberry

is pleased to return to Spinning Tree Theatre after having previously appeared as Yamba (and many others!) in Shipwrecked! An Entertainment. Select regional credits include: Lady of the Lake in Spamalot(Music Theatre Wichita), Pippin, Little Shop of Horrors and A Christmas Story the Musical, (Kansas City Repertory Theatre), Hairspray (New Theatre), Seussical the Musical, Once on This Island (Coterie Theatre), Nuncrackers(American Heartland Theatre), Footloose (Allenberry Playhouse). Last year marked Jennie’s Off-Broadway debut as the title fowl in Lucky Duck (New Victory Theatre).

Matthew King PIC Matthew King

a Kansas City native, is making his Spinning Tree debut in Ain’t Misbehavin’. Matthew studied musical theatre at the Chicago College of Performing Arts and is grateful to have been able to work with such amazing artists in Kansas City. Some favorite local credits include: Death of Cupid at The Living Room, Ragtime at Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre, Next to Normal with She&Her Productions, Seussical and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown at Theatre in the Park and Once Upon a Mattress at Coterie Theatre.

Ron Lackey PIC Ron Lackey

is thrilled to be performing with Spinning Tree Theatre for the first time. Ron remembers falling in love with the theatre after seeing Les Miserables on Broadway.  His recent credits include Bud, Not Buddy at Coterie Theatre, Evita at Musical Theater Heritage and The Wizard of Oz and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Columbian Theatre. Ron loves singing and playing the piano, as well as painting and collecting comic books, and is an avid movie watcher. Ron is a pastor and former worship leader and lives in Overland Park with his wife of nineteen years and their four children.

Linnaia McKenzie PIC Linnaia McKenzie

is a Kansas City native who has recently made her mark on the Kansas City theater scene.  Local credits include: Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre (Ragtime, The Kentucky Cycle), Musical Theater Heritage (Sunday in the Park with George, Hello, Dolly!), The Living Room (The Death of Cupid), MeltingPot KC (Old School Ghetto Gospel), Coterie Theatre (Spring Awakening). Later this year, she will start rehearsals for the world premiere of Zeus on the Loose/Geek Mythology with Coterie Theatre.
