FRIENDS OF SPINNING TREE THEATRE

To include Kansas City area youth of any socioeconomic status, we're tuition-free. Thanks to your generosity, all our young artists are offered performance opportunities at no charge, year-round.

We support the development of talents of young artists who prefer to shine their light offstage by offering playwriting, directing, and design mentorships with professional artists.

We're a Resident Theatre Co. at Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center in Overland Park, Kansas. The blackbox theatre is state-of-the-art, and the entire facility - including parking - is accessible.

We hire Kansas City's brightest professional directors, music directors, choreographers, stage managers, ASL interpreters and designers to keep standards high onstage and off.

While our work is focused on serving Kansas City area youth year-round, we program shows and seasons that are challenging, topical, and entertaining. 

Spinning Tree hires top professional Kansas City area musicians to play live at every performance of musicals.
