ACTING from the Heart

a Kansas City nonprofit
Due to COVID-19 and our inability to gather together for the time being, Spinning Tree is being reimagined by its founders, Board and a newly-formed committee of artists. We are developing what we believe will be an artistically fulfilling, sustainable plan.
Your generous donation will help support our mission of providing unique opportunities for young artists - those with disabilities as well as those non-disabled - to collaborate with professional artists.
Spinning Tree is a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization. Donations are tax-deductible pursuant to federal law.

Spinning Tree Theatre provides an opportunity for young artists – those with disabilities as well as those non-disabled – to collaborate with professional artists in rehearsing and performing plays and musicals. We believe that people of all abilities have a right to experience and participate in the arts, and that theatre offers uniquely positive avenues for building relationships, developing creativity and increasing confidence.
Before reimagining to a theatre project serving Kansas City youth of all abilities in 2020, Spinning Tree Theatre, founded in 2010, produced live, professional productions of plays and musicals. Kansas City premieres include "Violet," "Every Brilliant Thing," "Hello Again," "Casa Valentina," "Girlfriend" and "Caroline, or Change."
